Olympic Charleroi comes a long way in the D1 ACFF clash against Mons, the top of the table tightens – All football

Mons and Olympic Charleroi shared (2-2). For its part, Tubize-Braine had to be patient but won 0-3 against the Union U23s.

Do you miss football with the international break? Fortunately the lower divisions are there to brighten up the weekend. In D1 ACFF, the evening had a shock in store for us between theOlympic Charleroileader of the series, and Mons, third with three units behind.

Determined to strike a big blow, Dante Brogno’s men opened the scoring after eight minutes thanks to Leslie Bamona. Former RAEC goalkeeper, Adrien Saussez would once again turn around ten minutes later on a rebound from Jérémy Kumbi (2-0).

With their backs against the wall, Olympic reacted and managed to reduce the score before half-time. Already author of a double against the Standard U23s, Leandro Rousseau reignited the suspense (2-1). Despite the exclusion of Mehdi Terki at the start of the second half, the Mastiffs managed to come back to the score thanks to Roman Ferber (also a former Montois) before entering the last quarter of an hour (2-2) .

The Zébrions do not take advantage of this to take first place

No winner in the weekend clash, Mons misses a great opportunity to get back up to par with his evening opponent in the rankings. The Montois, on the other hand, are back in second place for the U23s of Sporting Charleroi, beaten 1-2 by Tournai despite the early opening score from Quantin Benaerts.

In the other match of the evening, Tubize-Braine won 0-3 against the U23s of Union Saint-Gilloise. The score was still 0-0 at the break, the visitors made the difference in the second half, notably thanks to a double from Jonathan Hendrickx. They thus return to the level of Mons and the U23 Carolos in second place.
