More people than in Monaco.
The women of FC Nantes will remember their first at La Beaujoire. 16,847 spectators attended their match against PSG this Saturday evening, it is quite simply the attendance record for a D1 match outside of the matches between Lyon and PSG. This match marks the fifth attendance in the history of the division, previously held by Guingamp during a match against Lyon in 2011.
An early goal from Grace Geyoro (0-1, 3e) following a cross from Elimbi Gilbert spoiled the Nantes party, not far from rivaling the Parisiennes for their first season in the elite. “We are not far from having done what we wanted to do, reacted after the meeting Nicolas Chabot, the Nantes coach. It would have been the perfect evening if we had managed to score this little goal and ignite the Beaujoire.[…] I have the impression that what we proposed on the pitch is the best way to bring people to the stadium. »
In D2 last season, the Nantes team broke its attendance record with 2,200 people in its Marcel-Saupin stadium.
The Nantes-style game still exists.
