Vincent Kompany left Burnley for Bayern Munich last May, signing a contract until 2027. Having spent time with Hamburg at the start of his playing career from 2006 to 2008, Kompany speaks perfect German, which has often been a decisive criterion in the choice of Munich leaders.
The former Manchester City defender has since had the difficult task of (re)winning Bayern. The Bavarians had a white season, which is not typical of the house. To do this, they paid more than 10 million to release Vincent Kompany who was under contract with Burnley.
At Bayern, Kompany now earns less than 10 million euros per year. According to Sky Deutschland, his annual salary (gross) is between 7 and 9 million euros without bonuses. He earns less than his predecessor Thomas Tuchel and his gross 9 million per season. Nagelsmann and Flick’s salary at FC Bayern was around 6 million gross per year.
