Canadiens: The Canadiens host the Senators this evening at the Bell Center

The Montreal Canadiens will play their third game of the campaign this evening when they host the Ottawa Senators.

Martin St-Louis’ troops will try to end a streak of nine losses against the Senators while their last victory dates back to March 19, 2022.

Alex Barré-Boulet and Michael Pezzetta would be left out for the match, according to the observations of our colleague Patrick Friolet. Pezzetta would therefore miss a third consecutive match.

Emil Heineman would be reinserted into the lineup after missing the duel against the Bruins on Thursday. He was employed on the fourth line in training alongside Christian Dvorak and Oliver Kapanen.

Jayden Struble skated with the group this morning, but was not part of the rotations. The 23-year-old defender has not played a game again this season after playing 56 last year. Struble scored three goals and collected 10 points in his first season in Montreal.

More details to come.
