Seven Quebecers were invited by the Canadian Hockey League to participate in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge from November 3 to 9 in Sarnia, Ontario.
Among them, we find the first pick of the last QMJHL draft Maddox Dagneais, who was selected by the Quebec Remparts.
The other Quebecers invited are Romain L’Italien (Cape Breton), Chad Lygitsakos (Shawinigan), Jayden Plouffe (Chicoutimi), Benjamin Cossette-Ayotte (Val-d’Or), Antoine Proulx-Levis (M18/Lévis (LHM18AAAQ) / Titan d’Acadie-Bathurst) and Cameron Chartrand-(Bishop)
Canadian players will be divided into two teams (Red and White). The Ontario Hockey League will be represented by 19 players while 15 players will come from the Western League.
The first pick of the last draft in Ontario Ethan Belchetz of the Windsor Spitfires will be there, as will that of the West Landon DuPont of the Everett Silvertips.
The U17 World Challenge begins on November 3. Team Canada White will face the Czech Republic, then Team Canada Red will face Finland.
