Hutson gets everyone in agreement

Lane Hutson is one of the Montreal Canadiens’ most promising prospects. Since the end of his brilliant career with the Boston University Terriers in the NCAA, he continues to amaze with his creative and dynamic play.

During his two games against the Detroit Red Wings last year, he fully demonstrated the extent of his qualities. However, some skeptics doubted his ability to maintain this level of intensity while playing in the National Hockey League (NHL).

As usual since his professional debut, Hutson once again silenced the detractors during rookie camp and training camp, proving that he could play a key role in the offensive phases of the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge.

Tonight, against the Maple Leafs, he continues to sow confusion among his opponents thanks to his feints and his unpredictable play. He managed to thwart certain athletes from the Ontario club, notably former captain John Tavares.

For those who doubted his ability to translate the style of play he played in the NCAA to the NHL, I think they are starting to change their minds about him. Several experts have even expressed their appreciation of the young man, including the famous Scott Wheeler of The Athletic.

In addition to his offensive contribution, he was solid defensively, standing up to the attackers of the formidable Leafs. The pair he forms with David Savard has proven very effective so far. It will be interesting to follow Hutson’s exploits during the rest of the meeting.
