NHL: Linus Ullmark extends to Ottawa

The Ottawa Senators have managed to convince Linus Ullmark to sign a contract extension with them.

The Swedish goaltender has signed a four-year deal, valued at $33 million. He will therefore be linked to the Senators for the next five seasons, he who could have availed himself of complete autonomy on 1is next July.

With an average annual salary of $8.25 million, Ullmark will pocket the same amount as his former Boston Bruins teammate Jeremy Swayman.

Ullmark was acquired by the Senators on June 24 in exchange for Finnish goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, forward Mark Kastelic and a first-round pick during the last auction.

The Vezina Trophy recipient at the end of the 2022-2023 season collected 22 victories in 40 games with the Bruins during the last campaign, while having an efficiency percentage of 0.915 and a goals against average of 2, 55.
