XALIMANEWS-The ASFA delegation, representing Senegal, has already taken up residence in Morocco to participate in the 45th edition of the African Men’s Champion Clubs Championship. The 2024 Senegal champions will complete an indoor training session this afternoon, before entering the competition this Thursday against Widad of Morocco.
Leaving Dakar on the night of October 7 to 8 at 2:30 a.m., the military team, champions of Senegal 2024, landed in Casablanca around 5 a.m., where they made a stopover at the Suisse Hotel. This Wednesday, the delegation joined Laayoune by plane, traveling 800 km. The team went jogging yesterday evening, followed by indoor training scheduled for this afternoon at 6 p.m.

As a reminder, ASFA is placed in pool D, alongside Adjidja (Benin), Widad (Morocco) and Mechal (Ethiopia).
ASFA will enter the fray this Thursday against Widad of Morocco at 4 p.m. The second match of the military will take place on Saturday October 12 against Adjidja of Benin, followed by the last group match scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m. against the Ethiopian team of Mechal.
If qualified for the quarter-finals, ASFA will compete on Wednesday October 15. On Thursday, classification matches will take place to determine the teams ranked from 13th to 16th place among those who finished fourth in the four groups, as well as matches to determine the teams ranked from 5th to 8th place among those eliminated in the quarterfinals. . The semi-finals and the final will be played on Friday October 18 and Saturday October 19 respectively.
