PREMATCH

The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to continue their streak of success, which has them in first place in the AFC North division with a 3-1 record this season, when they face the Dallas Cowboys Sunday evening.

This will be the first time since 2020 that the two teams have faced each other. During their last meeting, the Steelers had the best by a score of 24-19.

After three early wins, the Steelers lost their unbeaten streak last week in a 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Despite everything, quarterback Justin Fields has returned to his good days over the past two weeks with 245 and 312 passing yards.

Facing them, the Cowboys will want to build on a 20-15 victory against the poor New York Giants, a victory which somewhat revived Dallas after two losses in a row.

Criticized for his performances and his attitude, CeeDee Lamb had his best game of the season with seven receptions, 98 yards and a touchdown.

In this match, Dak Prescott had a success rate above 80% for the sixth time in his career. Prescott ranks fourth in the NFL in passing yards average with 268.

It’s more difficult on the ground for the Cowboys, who occupy last place in the league with only 301 yards of gains in four games.

A victory for the Cowboys would allow coach Mike McCarthy, a native of Pittsburgh, to reach the plateau of 170 victories. This would allow him to join Pete Carroll, Tom Coughlin and Mike Shanahan at 15e rank of history.
