Servette hung in St. Gallen – rts.ch

Held in a 1-1 draw at St. Gallen despite a clear domination, Servette missed the opportunity to take the lead in the Super League at the end of the 9th day. Derek Kutesa missed a huge opportunity in added time.

In St. Gallen, the Brodeurs opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a header from Lukas Görtler. But the Genevans reacted very strongly after the break. In the 46th minute, just a few seconds after the start of the second half, Miroslav Stevanovic equalized, also with a header.

Then, under the leadership of an untenable Derek Kutesa, Servette often put his opponent in difficulty, but was not able to translate his domination onto the scoreboard despite several clear chances. The Servettians also played eleven against ten after the expulsion of Hugo Vandermersch for a second yellow card (81st).

Servette still finds itself in a good position in the ranking, appearing in 4th place, one point behind leader Lucerne. Saint-Gall is 5th, three points behind its opponent of the day.
