when Guardiola gives advice to an opponent after the match

After Manchester City’s victory on Saturday against Fulham (3-2), Pep Guardiola exchanged with Adama Traoré at the final whistle. The Spanish technician was seen giving the Cottagers winger some advice.

Pep Guardiola is a passionate man. Having just won Fulham this Saturday with Manchester City (3-2), the Spanish coach went to greet his opponents, and continued to talk football with Adama Traoré. The former Barça boss was seen giving advice to the Spain international, who plays for the Cottagers, according to footage captured by former striker Robert Earnshaw.

A double from Kovacic saves the furniture

The Cityzens have come a long way at the Etihad Stadium. Cooled by the opener from Andreas Pereira (26th, 0-1), Pep Guardiola’s players were saved by a double from Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic (32nd, 47th), effective understudy for the long-term injured Rodri. The four-time reigning champions pushed their advantage thanks to Jérémy Doku (82nd, 3-1) then experienced a final scare when Rodrigo Muniz (89th, 3-2) reduced the gap, without consequence. “We play every three days and every match is difficult. It’s not easy and we have to adapt to the schedule, that’s how it is. We have to be at the top every day,” Kovacic commented to the BBC.

With the victories of Liverpool (1-0 at Crystal Palace) and Arsenal (3-1 against Southampton), the Cityzens are the runners-up to the Reds, leaders with a point lead after seven days.
