In declining form this season, the Moroccan striker from Toulouse, Zakaria Aboukhlal, was booed by Toulouse supporters on Sunday September 29 during the match against Lyon (1-2) in French Ligue 1.
Aboukhlal is going through a bad patch in Toulouse. The Moroccan international has struggled to regain his level of play and return to scoring goals since his return last March after around six months of absence following a knee injury, suffered on September 21, 2023.

The Atlas Lion did not convince with his performance during the home match against Lyon, played last Sunday. Lined up as a substitute, he was booed by his club’s supporters when he entered the field. A reaction to which Aboukhlal responded with a small smile and applause. Before his injury, Aboukhlal had scored three goals in five matches.

With a home defeat against Lyon (1-2), Toulouse finds itself in 15th place in the Ligue 1 standings with a total of five points in six matches.
