Anderlecht – Standard without external supporters: the Mauves Army officially communicates on the absence of Liège fans – All football

The match between Anderlecht and Standard will begin in great silence. Indeed, the Mauves Army, the Ultras of the RSCA, do not agree with the sanctions imposed and will boycott the start of the match.

Standard will face Anderlecht on Sunday afternoon, but Rouches will have to go to Lotto Park without their supporters. Due to incidents between fan groups in the past, the clubs have agreed that matches between them will take place without away fans.

This decision arouses criticism from the Mauves Army 2003, the Anderlecht ultra group. They do not agree with the ban on away supporters and have therefore decided not to be present for the first twelve minutes of the match.

With this action, the Mauves Army wants to highlight the importance of the presence of supporters, both at home and away, during a football match. According to the MA, the 12th man is “a non-negotiable condition” for the organization of matches.

The absence of Standard supporters and the planned action of Mauves Army are already creating a special atmosphere during this classic of Belgian football.
