Michael Hage could come to Montreal after his NCAA season, according to Simon Boisvert

Currently with the Montreal Canadiens, the vast majority of attention on young prospects is directed towards Lane Hutson, who should make the team, and Oliver Kapanen, the surprise of the current camp, who is also on the right track.

And the rest of the attention, well, it’s obviously on Ivan Demidov, whose playing time we’re monitoring closely.

This therefore leaves several young hopefuls in the shadows, including Michael Hage among others.

Hage remains a first-round pick for the CH (21st this summer) and therefore represents a leading prospect for the CH.

He also played his first career NCAA game yesterday, when the University of Michigan faced Minnesota State.

Hage looked really good in this match, as he collected two assists on his team’s two goals, as my colleague Michaël Petit reported last night.

It’s therefore a very good start for Hage, who has contributed to all of his team’s goals so far, in addition to being an important factor for his team’s attack.

In short, Hage is starting his career on the right foot, a career which could be shorter than we think.

Indeed, according to Simon Boisvert, the CH prospect could join the Habs at the end of his current NCAA season.

It was during the last episode of Process that Boisvert said this, while according to him, if Hage has a very good rookie season in the NCAA, the Canadian will not hesitate to make him sign his entry contract in the NHL and bring it to Montreal.

This therefore means that for Boisvert, there is a chance that Hage will play matches with the CH this year at the end of the season, as was the case with other NCAA players in the past such as Lane Hutson, Sean Farrell and Jordan Harris for example.

It’s very interesting to hear the Snake say such a thing, because honestly, in my head, Hage was going to play at least two seasons in the NCAA before coming to Montreal.

But if he is going to have an incredible season this year, I don’t see why CH wouldn’t try to add him to its roster at the end of this year, and with a view to next season.

The CH still lacks a little spice in its attack, and so adding Hage and Ivan Demidov next year would be really great.

In short, Hage’s performances will be one to follow very closely this season, while CH’s hope could very well arrive sooner than expected.
