OM. Sanctioned again, Chancel Mbemba could be reinstated after the international break

Laid off as a precautionary measure since September 14, Chancel Mbemba will have his salary cut for three weeks for not having attended medical examinations in mid-September, when he was returning from selection. The 30-year-old Congolese defender could be reinstated in the OM pro group after the international break, in accordance with the professional football charter.

This Friday, October 4 while OM were held in check (1-1) on their lawn during the 7e day of Ligue 1 against , Chancel Mbemba was once again absent. The 30-year-old Congolese defender has not worn the jersey since May 19.

According to information from The Team he will be cut from his salary received for three weeks from September 14 for not having attended medical examinations in mid-September, when he was returning from selection.

Second sanction for Mbemba

This is the player’s second sanction at the start of the season after his dismissal following a clash with a member of the OM staff, which resulted in him having to withhold his salary for 14 days, reduced within 6 days by the LFP legal commission.

Mbemba should nevertheless be reintegrated into the OM professional group after his return from the DRC selection with which he will play Tanzania on October 10 and 15, in accordance with the professional football charter. Which does not mean that he will play again: his club wanted him to have surgery on his left knee at the end of last season, but still refuses him.
