Stade Rennais changes president and formalizes the arrival of Arnaud Pouille

Stade Rennais has a new president. After dismissing Olivier Cloarec from his position, the Breton club has already hired his replacement with the arrival of the former general director of , Arnaud Pouille.

Stade Rennais was very active this Friday. After firing its former president Olivier Cloarec, the Breton club has already found a replacement. The lucky winner is Arnaud Pouille, who will not have remained unemployed for long.

The former general manager of Lens was made official this Friday late afternoon. “I am very happy and proud to join Stade Rennais FC. I am already 100% committed to the future of this prestigious club and I thank Mr. François-Henri Pinault for his confidence. I am convinced that the Stade Rennais FC has all the assets to assert its sporting ambition in the context of upcoming national and European competitions,” declared the new president through the club press release.

Notable performances in Lens

General manager of Lens between 2017 and 2024, Arnaud Pouille participated, with Franck Haise, in the virtuous circle of the artesian club. Under the leadership of this duo, the Sang et Or returned to Ligue 1 and even obtained a surprise qualification for the Champions League at the end of a historic 2022-2023 season.
