Budapest.. A Moroccan referee was elected refereeing coordinator within the International Francophone Chess Association

Recently, in Budapest, Moroccan referee Zouhair Salami was elected refereeing coordinator within the management of the International French-speaking Chess Association.

The International Chess Federation opened the door to nominations for all international and federal referees during the month of January 2024, and 754 referees were nominated across the world, including 6 Moroccan referees.

Referee Zuhair Salami participated in the Budapest Olympic Games, which included 188 teams in the open tournament, and the team members consisted of male and female players and 169 female teams.

Zuhair Salami officiated a match in the third group, headed by the clerk of the refereeing committee of the International Chess Federation.
