After two first editions contested in Italy, in Veneto more precisely, the Gravel Worlds are moving for this 2024 opus. Direction Belgium and the province of Flemish Brabant. If the Slovenian Matej Mohoric will be there to defend his title in the men’s race, the Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma, winner of the 2024 Tour de will be absent. Who are the favorites for these 2024 Gravel Worlds?

These 2024 Gravel Worlds will feature an XXL cast this Sunday for the elite men’s race. Reigning world champion, Matej Mohoric will be there to attempt the double despite a heavy fall during a reconnaissance on a gravel race in Spain at the end of September. One of his main competitors will be the Dutch Mathieu van der Poelbronze medalist during the first edition in 2022. These two favorites will also have to keep an eye on the Belgian colony which came in large numbers like Gianni Vermeersch2022 world champion, Florian Vermeerschsilver medalist in 2023. What is the route for these 2024 Gravel Worlds?

The 2024 Gravel Worlds will be held in Belgium. The races will start from Halle and end in Louvain, passing through the forests of Brabant from west to east. For the ladies, it will be necessary to cover 134km to aim for the rainbow jersey while the men will have to complete a course of 181km.

What time will these 2024 Gravel Worlds take place?

The elite women’s race will take place on Saturday October 5 with a scheduled departure from Halle at 12 p.m. with an arrival scheduled around 4 p.m. The start of the men’s race will also be at 12 p.m. but the next day, Sunday October 6 with an estimated arrival around 5:30 p.m.

On which channel can you watch these 2024 Gravel Worlds?

The women’s and men’s races of the 2024 Gravel Worlds will be followed on Eurosport. The channel will go on air from 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A live commentary will be available on ouest-france.fr
