Dante, captain of Nice, gave his jersey from the Europa League match against Lazio (4-1 defeat) to a rather special supporter, Alexy Bosetti, his former teammate at Nice present in the Nice park.
Despite the heavy defeat in Rome against Lazio (4-1), the Nice players took the time to greet their supporters who had traveled at the end of the match. For the occasion, the visitors’ park welcomed a rather special supporter, Alexy Bosetti, a professional and ultra player from Nice. Born and trained in Nice, he launched his career there after spending his young years in the stands alongside the Ultras Populaire Sud.

On Thursday, he took advantage of the Gym’s visit to Italy – where he has been playing since this summer at the Imperia club (Italian D4, 80 kilometers from Nice) – to make the trip to the capital and follow his favorite team. He took his place with the opposing supporters to encourage the Aiglons in the pouring rain. And this was not lost on the players. Dante, the captain, gave him his match jersey in a cool scene.
The two men played under the same Nice colors for a season in 2016-2017, even if Bosetti was dismissed by Lucien Favre and sent mainly to play with the reserve team (two matches played with the pros that season). The striker left the club the following summer for Laval (2017-2019) before continuing with experience in the United States (Oklahoma City in 2019, El Paso 2020). He then played for Puy (2020-2021) then Annecy (2021-2024) which he left last summer before signing for Imperia.
Bosetti has never hidden his ultra past, nor his love for Gym which earned him enmities with supporters of other clubs during his career. In an interview with L’Equipe in 2023, he explained that he always follows the news of his club. “I follow all the matches and I try to go to the stadium when I can. I will also be there on Sunday, for the match against Brest. But it becomes complicated since we often play at the same time weekend. I still make a few trips, for example, to Basel (in the Conference League quarter-final, 2-2) in mid-April (2023).
