Nikita Kucherov demonstrates what a team stands together

During the last two preparatory games, the Canadian faced a lot of adversity by facing the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators in quick succession. In both matches, we were treated to some robust play as well as some dirty shots.

Each time, CH players were stunned and hit solidly and, each time, no one on the ice reacted to come to the defense of their teammate, to the great dismay of Georges Laraque who did not hesitate to criticize them publicly on the airwaves of BPM Sports.

Conversely, when the sturdy defender Arber Xhekaj hit the attacker Tim Stutzle head-on at the entrance to the Canadian’s territory, it only took a few seconds for the captain Brady Tkachuk stops everything and throws himself at Xhekaj to defend his teammate.

Yesterday, while the Tampa Bay Lightning faced the Florida Panthers, forward Josh Davies of the Panthers hit the defender solidly Victor Hedman.

Without any hesitation, we were able to see the star striker Nikita Kucherov throw down the gloves and rush towards his opponent to come to his captain’s defense.

Kucherov, considered one of the most talented players in the entire NHL, demonstrated at that moment what a tight-knit team stands together when one of its own is bullied by an opponent.

Canadiens players should take notes and not always leave Arber Xhekaj get the job done, especially when he’s not even on the ice.
