The Remparts attack continues to pile up goals

The Quebec Remparts’ forwards have been in great shape since the start of the season, and let’s say that they show no sign of running out of steam at the moment.

Indeed, the Remparts won 6 to 4 against the Islanders in Charlottetown on Thursday evening. Maddox Dagenais, the very first pick in the last Maritimes Quebec Junior Hockey League draft, continued his momentum.

He first became complicit in Nathan Quinn’s opening scoring on the power play, before shaking the ropes himself in the third period, also with the advantage of a skater on the ice.

This goal also gave his team a 6-1 lead. Andreas Straka, Nathan Plouffe, Justin Côté and Jack Greenwell also found the fault for the visitors.

The Islanders attempted a comeback late in the match, scoring three unanswered goals to reduce the gap between the two clubs to two goals, in vain.

In the standings, Éric Veilleux’s players are second in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 3-1-1-0. They are also the best offensive player on the circuit since the start of the season with 27 goals scored.

The Remparts will face the Halifax Mooseheads on Friday.
