Football: the vintage FC Sion sweatshirt is a hit at the Valais Fair

FC Sion continues to ride on the appearance of the world rap star Travis Scott, in the stands of the last US Open, with an old jacket from the Sedun club dating from 2011. At the beginning of September, “20minuten” revealed that the jacket, found in a store in London, had been provided to him by the company “Buzz Plugg” during a concert in Manchester.

The famous sweatshirt was reissued and put on sale at the Foire du Valais on Wednesday afternoon at the price of 100 francs. And business is good. “Between noon and 7 p.m., we sold more than 150,” says Serse Pedretti, manager of the FC Sion store. Since it’s a 2011 replica, we weren’t sure how it was going to work. But the figures are good since we also had 70 additional orders.”

Present on Wednesday at the Foire du Valais, Patrick Margueron is pleased that the spotlight on FC Sion continues a little longer. “In twenty-four hours, three quarters of the stock is gone,” underlines the club’s communications manager. Some sizes were even out of stock but people who placed orders will be delivered to their homes quickly or to our store at the stadium.

Young people but also grandparents in search of the precious sesame for their grandchildren: Patrick Margueron saw a bit of all ages at stand No. 1205. “Players from the first team also asked me to go and buy them the cover,” he smiles. Will this serve as the official knit to go to Tourbillon on Saturday (6 p.m.) for the match against Yverdon Sport?
