[VIDÉO] Macklin Celebrini falls heavily into the boards and leaves the match

We’re currently holding our breath at the San Jose Sharks. Forward Macklin Celebrini hit the boards hard in the second period of Tuesday night’s game against the Utah club and then retreated to the locker room.

The Sharks later announced his night of work was over due to a lower-body injury.

Celebrini was not at Sharks practice on Wednesday. The team then indicated that its young skater was suffering from a lower body injury and that his health would be evaluated on a daily basis.

The very first pick in the latest National Hockey League (NHL) draft joins a long list of players who suffered an injury during the preparatory calendar. We only have to think of Patrik Laine of the Montreal Canadiens, who will miss two to three months of activities due to a sprained knee.

Tuesday evening, New York Rangers star forward Artemi Panarin also left his team’s game with an injury. Same thing for Tim Stutzle and Brady Tkachuk of the Ottawa Senators, both injured in the same sequence against the Habs.

The NHL regular season will officially begin on October 4 with a match between the New Jersey Devils and the Buffalo Sabers on the Old Continent.
