Bologna failed to achieve a prestigious victory at Anfield Road. The club of three Swiss, Dan Ndoye, Remo Freuler and Michel Aebischer, was logically beaten 2-0 by Liverpool during the 2nd day of the Champions League.
Served by Mohamed Salah, Alexis MacAllister certainly scored in the 11th minute. Liverpool have not had it easy, however. Bologna bravely played their luck and considerably hampered their opponent, thanks in particular to their Swiss.
Ndoye hits the post
Captain Remo Freuler evolved into a valuable sentinel and brought down a remarkable shadowy work. Also established, Dan Ndoye stood out several times on his left flank. The Vaudois hit the post in the 32nd minute. Michel Aebischer, who entered in the 62nd, also delivered the goods.
Manhandled, the Reds however made the break thanks to the inevitable Salah (75th). Like six other teams, Liverpool are full of points after their inaugural victory at AC Milan.
