You can practice basketball, football and handball among other sports. A group even made a habit of doing fitness sessions there on Wednesday evenings. With free access, the city stadium of Raphèle had already found its faithful when the mayor of Arles Patrick de Carolis and the departmental councilor Mandy Graillon inaugurated the new equipment, Tuesday October 1, 2024. “Four years ago I received a letter from a young Raphel resident, Maxime, saying that he dreamed of seeing a city stadium in his village, said the mayor. Here it is, thanks to the will of the City and the help of the Department”.

It is next to the tennis club, Chemin de la Cabro d’or, that this synthetic resin court measuring 26 by 14 meters was created at the end of summer. Its cost: €85,000, financed 30% by the City and 70% by the Department. “The departmental council is systematically alongside the municipality, insisted Mandy Graillon. Through a €25M contract, we are supporting the City of Arles in all its projects including, in Raphèle, road works or the installation of video protection cameras.” And the departmental councilor salutes the work of the deputy mayor delegated to Raphèle Gérard Quaix, “omnipresent for his village”.

Two other city stadiums created by the City in Moulès and Salin-de-Giraud will be inaugurated respectively on October 4 at 4:30 p.m. and October 11 at 4 p.m.
