Phew of relief for Marc Brys: Samuel Eto’o heavily sanctioned by FIFA! – All

Samuel Eto’o will no longer be able to put pressure on Marc Brys in the months to come. The president of the Cameroon Federation has been suspended for six months by FIFA for misconduct towards players and officials.

During this period, Samuel Eto’o is not allowed to attend official matches of the Cameroon national team. “Samuel Eto’o is excluded from all Cameroon matches for six months,” according to a FIFA statement.

The suspension follows violations of Articles 13 and 14 of the Disciplinary Code, where Eto’o was found guilty of inappropriate behavior, failure to respect the rules of fair play and misconduct towards referees and players.

This happened during the U20 Women’s World Cup in September, where Eto’o was present during Cameroon’s match against Colombia. Eto’o’s sanction takes effect from today, meaning he will not be able to attend any Cameroon matches during this period.

Pour Urgent Markthe Belgian coach of Cameroon, this may mean less pressure during the important qualifying matches for the African Cup in October and November, because the president of the federation will not be able to be present even from the stands.

Eto’o and Brys are not great friends, this is a fact that has been known for a long time. Eto’o wanted to appoint his own coach, but the Sports Ministry intervened and appointed Brys himself. This has resulted in several conflicts since Brys took office.
