Tristan Degreef finally got his chance with Anderlecht’s A team and immediately left a good impression. In the match against Dender (1-1), the young midfielder was able to play for half an hour.
At the end of the match, he was satisfied with his performance. “I got into the match straight away,” rejoiced Tristan Degreef. “I think I was sharp. I have to take my chances when I get them.”
Despite the match ending in a draw, a crucial goal in the final minute was ruled out. “It’s a shame that goal was canceled,” Degreef remarked. “But it’s up to me to continue to work hard and contribute where possible.”
Degreef could well receive opportunities, as he can play both in midfield and as a winger. “I play where the coach needs me,” he summed up in a few words. The absences of Amuzu and Dreyer mean that it may well be on the flank.
“Of course, I would have liked to have accumulated a few more minutes in the first team, like everyone else. But I continue to work hard, even when I play with the Futures. There, I always give everything one hundred percent” , assures the young product of Neerpede.
Despite his rise to play with the first team, he will indeed return to the U23s quite quickly. “Tomorrow I’m just playing with the Futures against Zulte Waregem,” he said. But it won’t be more than half time. What if David Hubert considered giving him an even bigger role next week against Real Sociedad?
