CH: serious injuries for Laine and Reinbacher

The regular season hasn’t even started and the Canadiens’ infirmary is already filling up, because two players, attacker Patrik Laine and defender David Reinbacher, fell in combat very early in Saturday’s preparatory duel against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The first minutes of the clash were indeed very eventful at the Bell Center and they risk having consequences for the Habs, judging how the two victims left the ice.

In the opening seconds of the game, Reinbacher fell awkwardly following contact with Marshall Rifai in the neutral zone. The CH defender struggled to leave the locker room and we will have to see what the organization will say on this subject.

However, the worst is yet to come for the fans and head coach Martin St-Louis. Laine received a knee from Cédric Paré as he headed into enemy territory. The Finn writhed in pain and left the match. WATCH IN MAIN VIDEO.

More details to come.
