Disaster for this candidate for promotion to the Pro League, affected by a transfer ban! – All football

Bad news for KMSK Deinze. The club learned on Friday that the Licensing Commission had imposed a temporary transfer ban on it.

KMSK Deinze is doing quite well on a sporting level. The club currently occupies third place in the Challenger Pro League with 10 points, three less than the leader, RWDM.

Off the field, however, things are not going so well. The club finds itself in a difficult financial situation. And now the Licensing Commission has also imposed sanctions on Deinze.

“When granting the license for the 2024-2025 season, KMSK Deinze, like other clubs, had certain conditions imposed by the Licensing Commission. During the interim inspection on September 20, the club “could not provide all the financial supporting documents requested”, begins Deinze on its website.

“This is why the Licensing Commission decided today, Friday September 27, to impose a temporary transfer ban on the club and to reduce by 2 the maximum number of players above U21 on the Size List. Squad. Given that the current Squad Size List (SSL) has 23 players and can contain a maximum of 25, this sanction has no direct consequences on the team.

“This temporary sanction is a predictable measure, given the current financial situation of the club. The management is working intensively on a solution and is making every effort to provide the required documents at the next check, so that the transfer ban can be lifted and other sanctions avoided”, concludes the club.
