The Portuguese coach of Fenerbahçe, José Mourinho, wanted to defend his player, Youssef En-Nesyri, victim of numerous criticism following his performance against Union Saint-Gilloise (2-1).
José Mourinho said the performance was positive in the match against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League, although he was heavily criticized by supporters.
The Portuguese coach says he was confident in En-Nesyri’s ability to score goals, and he is trying hard to do so, but he needs a little time.
“En-Nesyri’s performance was similar to that of the team. It wasn’t amazing, but she was positive. It was enough for the team to win. Then there was enough time to get Džeko back into the game. This was the moment where we had to break the pressure. En-Nesyri’s contribution was positive”says the one we nickname The Special One.
“En-Nesyri wants to score goals, and of course, they will come with the sequence of matches. I have confidence in his abilities”he concluded.
Note that Fenerbahçe, which counts in its ranks the Moroccans Sofyan Amrabat and Youssef En-Nesyri, beat Union Saint-Gilloise in the opening of the Europa League, with a score of 2-1.
