Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander had a freak fall Thursday night and unfortunately, the fault lies somewhat with his teammate Nick Robertson.
The Swede was stunned in the first period of the preparatory match against the Montreal Canadian. The fans at Scotiabank Arena held their breath more than once and for Nylander, it left its mark.

Chasing Lane Hutson, the Leafs player received help from Robertson to go faster. Nylander pushed him with the blade of his stick, but Nylander lost his balance and fell face first against Christian Dvorak’s leg. Watch in main video.
Number 88 had to retreat to the locker room and did not return to the game for the final minutes of the period. Preemptively, the Maple Leafs later announced that Nylander would not return to the game.
At a press briefing, head coach Craig Berube reassured everyone about the state of health of the man who amassed 98 points last season.
“It will be okay. “It’s nothing to worry about,” he assured.
