Enough to lead to a breathtaking second half with big scares… right up until the end.

So, just as the gong sounded and the Atlas Lions began to celebrate their qualification, Iran were awarded a penalty after resorting to VAR. But Khah sent his attempt onto Abdelkrim Anbia’s post. winners of the last CAN held their qualification for the quarter-finals!

It will be Sunday against… Brazil, the opponent who ended their historic run at the same stage of the competition in the last edition in 2021 (1-0 defeat). Time for revenge?
