A few hours after the Australian Grace Brown in the women’s race, the Belgian Remco Evenepoel won the title of world time trial champion on Sunday in Zurich, less than two months after having won the Olympic title in the specialty at Paris 2024. It is a first in history, but certainly not a surprise, as the 24-year-old Fleming was identified as the favorite of a 46.1-kilometer course linking Oerlikon, in the suburbs of the metropolis, to Sechseläutenplatz, on the urban banks of the lake.
