Brahim Diaz’s downtime shorter than expected?

Brahim Diaz injured the long adductor muscle in his right leg during Real Madrid’s win over Real Sociedad last Saturday.

“After the tests carried out today on our player Brahim Díaz by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the long adductor of his right leg. His evolution remains to be followed,” the club announced on its official website.

“However, the Moroccan international’s entourage believes that this period of unavailability should be revised downwards,” the sports media believes. ESPN Deportes.

“Brahim Diaz will be out for around three months due to injury, according to Real Madrid sources who informed ESPN, but the player’s entourage is convinced that the period will be shortened by several weeks,” reveals ESPN in its Spanish version.

Brahim, who started the match against Real Sociedad, will miss important matches such as the derby against Atlético de Madrid on September 29 and the Clasico against Barcelona, scheduled for the last weekend of October at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. In addition, he will be absent for the next matches of the national team against the Central African Republic, in October, and against Gabon and Lesotho, in November, for the CAN 2025 qualifiers.

The player has nevertheless sent an optimistic message on his social networks (“I will be back soon”) and it is hoped that he will be able to resume training normally after the international break in November. No precise date for his return has been set yet, but it is clear that this injury is yet another problem for Real Madrid, who have already had to deal with several injuries in the first weeks of the season.
