Michael Owen believes Noussair Mazraoui is Manchester United’s best signing of the summer window after the full-back’s brilliant start at Old Trafford.
The Morocco international, who joined United from Bayern Munich last month, was another fine performer in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Southampton at St Mary’s.
He has started each of United’s first four Premier League games this season, all at right-back, and has shown early promise both defensively and attackingly, which has appeared to impress former Premier League star Michael Owen.
“I think Noussair Mazraoui has started the season very, very well. I’ve been really impressed by him.”he said, before adding;
“We judge after a few games but I think he’s adapted really well to the Premier League. In the opening game he made some great tackles, great interceptions, great counters and looked comfortable on the ball. He looked pretty solid to me for an opening game.”.
“If I can tell, given that he’s going to improve in that area as well, then he could be a very good signing. The early signs are promising, so he could be United’s most impressive summer signing.”believes the former England international.
