Around fifty people attended the performance of wheelchair athlete Anthony Bouchard in the semi-final of the 100 metres T52 at the Paris Paralympic Games on Thursday afternoon.

They were all impressed by the performance of the native of Brunois, now living in Quebec, who ranked second in his semi-final in a time of 17 seconds and 45 hundredths. He thus earned himself a place in the final, which will take place Friday morning.

In terms of endurance, he is different from other competitors because he cannot force in the same way. And then the 100 meters, that is his strength.said his aunt Odélie Marcotte just before the competition.

All the citizens, the people of the municipality are behind Anthony. We had confidence in his abilities, we knew he was a good athlete, so we organized this today, a viewing with all the citizens who came, and we wish him the best of luck and good success for the final tomorrow.
