PARALYMPIC GAMES PARIS 2024 – With 11 medals, including 4 gold, para-cycling allows France to maintain its place in the Top 5 medals. Fabien Lamirault wins bronze in ping pong.

The French day started with a bang with para-cycling, then gradually calmed down, particularly with the French failures in fencing and athletics. The 11 medals in para-cycling are a real feat on this Wednesday, September 4, which will remain as a significant date of the Paris Paralympic Games.

4 gold medals in para-cycling

Alexandre Léauté won the first gold medal of the day, and his second personal gold medal in the competition, shortly before 9am in the C2 time trial in para cycling. He beat the Belgian Ewoud Vromant by two seconds. The Frenchman followed up with a third medal (two gold and one bronze) at the Paris Paralympic Games. Kévin Le Cunff (C4), Thomas Peyroton-Dartet (C3) and Mathieu Bosredon (H3) were crowned champions in this same time trial in their category.
