Portuguese international Danilo Pereira, who has played for PSG for four seasons, has signed a two-year contract with Saudi club Al-Ittihad, Paris-Saint-Germain announced on Monday.
In its press release, the capital club specifies that “Danilo Pereira joins Saudi club Al-Ittihad on a permanent transfer”.
Born in Bissau in Guinea-Bissau, Danilo Pereira (soon to be 32 years old, 74 caps, 2 goals) spent most of his career at FC Porto, with whom he won the Portuguese championship twice (2018 and 2020), the Portuguese Super Cup (2018) and the League Cup (2020).
Three times French champion in Paris
The defensive midfielder notably played 30 UEFA Champions League matches (1 goal, 3 assists) with the «Dragoes».
Arrived on loan at Paris Saint-Germain in the fall of 2020 and transferred permanently in the spring of 2021, Danilo Pereira has won three French championship titles (2022, 2023 and 2024), two French Cups (2021 and 2024) and three Champions Trophies (2021, 2023 and 2024).
In four seasons in Parisian colours, he took part in 157 matches and scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists.
Danilo has signed for two years with the club where Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté and Moussa Diaby already play and where Laurent Blanc took up his duties as coach in mid-July.
