At the end of the meeting between a Berlin club and a French team, in U17, in Frankfurt, the players came to blows. A young German was seriously injured after being hit in the head and neck. He collapsed on the ground, unconscious.
Resuscitated on the spot, he was rushed to hospital, reports HLN.be. His death was even announced by the local press before the information was corrected by the Bild newspaper on Tuesday morning. The young boy, who suffers from a serious brain injury, is still fighting for his life. According to the “Frankfurter Rundschau”, he would even be brain dead.
The attacker, a 16-year-old French teenager, was arrested and presented to an investigating judge on Monday. The police have launched an appeal for witnesses to try to understand the circumstances of this confrontation and identify individual responsibilities.
