Mikayil Faye: the Senegalese already on the departure in Rennes

Barely arrived, the Senegalese international Mikayil Faye could already leave Rennes. Bayer Leverkusen is on the lookout.

A few months ago, Rennes formalized the arrival of Mikayil Faye from FC Barcelona.

The 20 -year -old had signed a contract until June 2028 with Rennes for an estimated transfer of 10.3 million euros.

Unfortunately, since his arrival, the Senegalese defender has struggled to win within the Breton club. It is even announced on the start. According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayer Leverkusen came into contact with the entourage of the Senegalese international for a possible transfer. For the moment nothing concrete but if the different parties find an agreement, a departure this winter is not excluded.

As a reminder, FC Barcelona retains 30% over a possible future resale of the Senagalais and has a repurchase clause set at 25 million euros.
