Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Niang continues his career in the Iraq Stars League with a return to Al-Talaba, his former club. After a season spent in the colors of Al-Shorta, he joined a team that he knows well and where he has already played successfully.
Former player of ASC Jaraaf in Senegal, Idrissa Niang joined Al-Talaba for the first time during the 2021/2022 season, after a notable stint at Al-Mina’a. Before his arrival in Iraq, the 32-year-old had also played in Tunisia and Lebanon, consolidating his international experience.
Since 2020, he has established himself in the Iraq Stars League, wearing the jerseys of three different clubs. Currently sixth in the standings with 27 points, Al-Talaba hopes that the return of Idrissa Niang will provide valuable reinforcement to the team and help improve its performance in the championship.
