The Austrian, injured in a knee last weekend in Wengen, finally decided not to play the super-G on Friday.

Vincent Kriechmayr will not take anywhere the departure of the Kitzbühel Super-G on Friday. The Austrian star, injured in Wengen last weekend, had surprised when she appeared on the starting list for the first Hahnenkamm weekend. After recognition Friday morning, the 33 -year -old skier, however, decided not to take risks, reports the Kronen Zeitung.

During Wengen’s descent last Saturday, the 2021 double world champion dropped and underwent a serious sprained of the medial ligament on the right knee. Although the injury is less serious than expected, it was expected to stop for a while, especially with the world championships at home next month.

He is the last skier to have won a super-G in Kitzbühel in 2021.
