Rudi Garcia will be the new Belgian coach, the Belgian Football Federation (RBFA) announced on Friday. The Frenchman notably led Lyon, Lille, Marseille and AS Rome.
Garcia (60) replaces Domenico Tedesco whose dismissal was announced last week against the backdrop of the crisis for the Red Devils, eliminated from the round of 16 during the last euro.
‘Welcome, Rudi’, written in a press release, saying that he was proud to announce that Rudi Garcia has been appointed as a new federal coach of the Red Devils’.
The Frenchman had to be presented to the press at midday in Tubize, south of Brussels, where the RBFA has its training center. He had been free from any commitment for fourteen months and the end of his short collaboration with Naples.
