Marion Chevrier obtains victory during the second slalom in Zell am See, Austria. The skier from La Plagne beat Eliane Christen and Aline Danioth. Top 10 for Laurine Lugon-Moulin.
Marion Chevrier more than ever at the top of the slalom rankings in the European Cup. In Zell am See, in the south of Austria, the Savoyard won the event this Monday ahead of two Swiss women. Cousins Eliane Christen and Aline Danioth accompanied her on the podium. Chevrier was 3rd in the first round and then took advantage of the retirements of Elena Stoffel and Marta Rossetti to win.
Two other French women are in the points with 9th place for Laurine Lugon-Moulin. Annabel Jallat, although 35th in the first round, climbed to 20th place thanks to an excellent second run. Half of the season was spent in the European Cup. Marion Chevrier therefore dominates the discipline rankings with 64 points ahead of Eliane Christen. Charlotte Lingg completes the top 3 which could offer her a nominative ticket for the World Cup.
-The next women’s slalom will be held in the Czech resort of Spindleruv Mlyn on February 3.
