The RWDM won 0-1 in Eupen. It all came down to the second half.
After his victory against RFC Liège last week, the RWDM faced a new opponent from the Province this evening, with this trip to Eupen. Despite the cold temperature of the Kehrweg, Yannick Ferrera’s men, as usual, sought to ensure control of the game.
But the territorial domination proved fruitless in the first half: not a single shot found the target. Rather on the defensive, Eupen followed the rhythm well.
Benjdida, already the X factor?
The visitors increased the pressure at the start of the second half. And it paid off: six minutes after entering the game, Soufiane Benjdida opened the scoring. An XXL debut for the attacker loaned (with option to buy) by Standard.
-Renaud Emond then took his turn in the Pandas camp to offer a match within the match between two well-known attackers from Sclessin. But the phoenix did not succeed in saving Eupen: the offensive attempts of the last minutes were too weak to worry the RWDM.
