As the Sabers tried to enter the enemy zone, Nedeljkovic recovered a clearing behind his net and sent the puck into a gaping cage at the other end of the ice.

Nedeljkovic became the 16e goaltender in NHL history to be credited with a goal and the 10the to send the puck directly into the net.

It was the second goal by a goalie this season in the NHL, after that of Filip Gustavsson, in a victory for the Minnesota Wild on October 15.
