An unexpected turn of events shook the world of Senegalese wrestling this Monday, January 13, 2025, when the executive committee of the CNG proclaimed Thiatou Daouda Fall winner against the wrestler from Rufisque, Amanekh, following an appeal filed by the staff of the Balla Gaye 2 foal.
The Teungeudj wrestler was initially declared the winner by the referees, then confirmed by the CNG, before a surprising turn of events occurred. After being contacted by the staff of the wrestler of the Balla Gaye 2 wrestling school, the executive committee of the CNG led by Malick Ngom, finally gave the victory to Thiatou Daouda Fall.
This decision angered Amanekh, who speaks of a scandal and openly criticizes the CNG: “This lobbying within the CNG must stop. You can’t declare me the winner three times, then reverse that decision to award the victory to the other. I even wonder what VAR is for in this case,” he said.
Amanekh claims to have already celebrated his victory with his loved ones and refuses to recognize this new verdict, believing that the trophy is his by right.
