Paris Saint-Germain has reached an agreement with the Italian football club Naples regarding the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the sports management of Radio France and “ici Paris Ile-de-France” (formerly France) learned on Tuesday January 14 Bleu), from a source close to the matter, confirming information from the daily The Team.
The 23-year-old Georgian striker, subject to having passed his medical examination, will sign a four and a half season contract with the capital club. PSG had already tried to recruit Khvicha Kvaratskhelia last summer but faced a categorical refusal from the Italian club.
This winter, the player reiterated his request, which was finally accepted. “He asked to be sold. I am disappointed (…) We are talking about an important player”reacted coach Antonio Conte on Saturday. “I realize it’s a bolt from the blue but I’ve taken a step back. I wouldn’t want tomorrow, if he stayed, to think I’ve chained him here”he added.
The “coup” is all the more important as it is rare for a player of this level to be transferred during the winter transfer window.
