The management of the Loïc Lapoussin case divides the Union. Charles Vanhoutte spoke about the feeling in the locker room.
In recent seasons, Loïc Lapoussin could allow himself a few deviations without being sanctioned over time. Felice Mazzu, Karel Geraerts and Alexander Blessin let it slide, with the reward of seeing him perform on the pitch. But with Sébastien Pocognoli and his staff, this no longer happens.
The situation is not easy for the group, which knows the versatile character of Lapoussin and sees the staff positioning itself differently than in previous seasons.
Who will continue to add water to their wine?
On the set of La Tribune, Charles Vanhoutte confirmed that the Malagasy international was a relatively unique player: “Loïc, he’s a cream. And technically he’s one of the strongest players I’ve played with. Côté flaw, sometimes he doesn’t know who we’re playing against… but that can be a quality too.”
-The Lapoussin case places the Union between two chairs: “On the one hand, the coach must manage the locker room. And on the other, the locker room must be managed, between players too. We know Loïc’s qualities, we doesn’t really have any problems with him or his actions, but we understand the side of the coach, the staff and the management.
Once again absent for the trip to Charleroi (after rejoining the group against Antwerp), Loïc Lapoussin continues to divide. The staff tries to stick to a clear line of action, but the player is as unpredictable off the field as on it.
