SA Montpon won its first victory of the season on Sunday January 12, in its group 3 of Regional 2, against the penultimate, Saint-André-de-Cubzac (15-5). A success which will do good for the Montponnais in a somewhat difficult season.
“Obviously we are satisfied. We will say that the squad is somewhat rewarded for the efforts made since the start of the season. We must not forget that we are in reconstruction,” explains Jean-Luc Faure, SAM coach.
The Montponnais got off to a good start with a try in the sixth minute, through their third center line Thibal-Maziat. With Roccon’s transformation, Montpon led 7-0.
